Teresa Knight
Teresa Knight's work is full of atmosphere – she paints 'how' she
sees including the emotions that scenes evoke within her. The
softness of her style and the subtlety with which she uses colour
help create an almost mystical experience. The viewer enters a place
where words are not necessary, but where experience is shared.
Teresa got started in art when she and her sisters would pass rainy
days at the cottage drawing and painting, and Teresa has continued to
practice art and love it. She obtained her B.A. in Studio Arts and
Bachelor of Education in Art from the University of British Columbia
and now paints and teaches painting out of her Union Bay studio
gallery.
Her work is exhibited at several local and West Coast venues and a
visit to her studio can unearth undiscovered treasures. She uses her
paintings in part to raise money for overlooked animals.
Teaching &
Workshops
Teresa teaches painting Sundays, 1-4pm in the
Royston Community Hall 3902 S. Island Hwy, Royston BC Teresa has taught several art courses in Vancouver BC; at the West End Community Centre, Capilano College, Langara College Continuing Education, and for the North Vancouver
Board of Education. She now accepts students in the Comox Valley BC. |

Workshops
Teresa will be teaching a workshop this
coming fall 2010 at Firesign B&B on Quadra Island

Firesign B&B on Quadra Island will host the
workshop, "Getting to the Magic - Finding Your Creativity"
featuring Teresa Knight.
Teresa is teaching 'Love to Paint People',
a three day workshop on Denman Island. Wednesday to Friday,
July 28-30th, 11am-3pm. You will have fun and learn a lot!
